20th May 2016

Join us for ‘Go Wild in Galway’ where five wildlife charities have joined forces to bring awareness of wildlife to the citizens of Galway on Saturday 21 May in a free event to mark Biodiversity Week 2016.

As part of ‘Go Wild in Galway’ a team of wildlife experts from The Vincent Wildlife Trust, the Irish Wildlife Trust, BirdWatch Ireland, Galway Bat Group and the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group will be on hand to pass on knowledge about the captivating wildlife of the city that often goes unnoticed.

We will have a series of short talks during the day, three afternoon field trips and a dusk bat walk with the Galway Bat Group. In addition, we will have an exclusive screening of previously unseen footage from ‘Wild Cities – Galway,’ the Crossing The Line wildlife documentary recently screened on RTE television and presented by John Lusby.
